Stress & Overwhelm

Stress and overwhelm can build quietly, especially during seasons where life asks more of you than you feel able to give. Whether you're balancing work demands, caring for others, navigating shifting identities, healing from past trauma, or simply trying to keep up with the pace of your own expectations, it can feel like you’re constantly “on” with no room to breathe..

Stress and overwhelm might show up as:

  • Feeling mentally overloaded or unable to slow down your thoughts

  • A sense that small tasks suddenly feel huge or unmanageable

  • Difficulty concentrating or staying organized

  • Feeling easily irritated or emotionally reactive

  • Trouble relaxing, unwinding, or shutting off the “go mode”

  • Physical symptoms like tension, headaches, stomach discomfort, or a racing heartbeat

  • Sleep issues—either wired at night or waking unrefreshed

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your usual coping tools

You might notice patterns like:

  • Taking on too much because you don’t want to let people down

  • Trying to keep everything together on the outside while crumbling inside

  • Feeling like you can’t ask for help, or you “should” be handling things better

  • Struggling to prioritize your own needs or find moments of rest

  • Operating in survival mode, even when things appear “fine” from the outside

How will I help?

For many women, stress and overwhelm are tied to deeper layers—perfectionism, people-pleasing, old survival strategies, internalized pressure, or a long history of being the one others depend on. Over time, this can leave you feeling depleted, disconnected, and unsure how to get back to yourself.

As a therapist, I offer a calming, non-judgmental space to untangle all of this. Together, we explore what’s contributing to your overwhelm, what your nervous system is holding, and how your past experiences might be shaping your present stress responses.

Using evidence-based approaches tailored to you, we work towards creating more balance, boundaries, and emotional regulation—helping you step out of survival mode and into a life that feels more grounded, spacious, and aligned.

You don’t have to keep pushing through. With support, it’s possible to slow down, soften the intensity you’re carrying, and reconnect with a steadier version of yourself.
