Life Transitions
Life transitions can feel grounding, disorienting, or both at the same time, and they don’t always come with a clear roadmap. They may include becoming a parent, returning to work, changing careers, navigating shifts in relationships, or moving through seasons where who you are no longer fits who you’ve been.
Sometimes the transition is expected, even chosen, yet it still brings uncertainty, self-doubt, or grief for what’s changing. Other times it arrives suddenly, asking you to adapt before you feel ready. These moments can stir questions about identity, worth, and direction, touching many parts of your emotional world all at once.
Life Transitions may include:
Pregnancy, postpartum, or adjusting to a new season of parenthood
Returning to work or stepping away from a career you once identified with
Changes in relationships, including partnership shifts, separation, or divorce
Navigating identity changes in your 20s, 30s, or beyond
Moving, relocation, or building a life in a new place
Becoming a caregiver or managing changing family roles
Fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, or redefining family plans
Healing after trauma while trying to move forward
Feeling “in between” versions of yourself — no longer who you were, not yet who you’re becoming
How will I help?
Life transitions often bring a mix of emotions such as uncertainty, grief, anxiety, relief, and even guilt for feeling all of it at once. In therapy, we create space to slow things down and make sense of what this season is stirring up for you.
Together, we’ll explore how this transition is impacting your sense of identity, relationships, and emotional well-being. We’ll gently identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, including perfectionism, people-pleasing, or old coping strategies that no longer fit.
Our work may include processing past experiences or trauma that resurface during times of change, strengthening nervous system regulation, and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and resilient. Using a trauma-informed approach, including EMDR and talk therapy, I support you in moving forward with clarity, self-compassion, and confidence as you step into what’s next.
Ready to begin?
You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or deeply impacted by past experiences, trauma therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and feel more grounded in your day-to-day life..
